Reactors for harmonics filtering in three phase lines

The RTLX and RTL series are made up of reactors for harmonic filtering in three-phase installations.

Reactors are used in three-phase lines with frequency converters, variable speed drives, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, signal rectifiers and other types of non-linear loads.

According to the series, its rating includes:

  • RTLX – rating as from 2.5A up to 1000A.
  • RTL – rating as from 2.5A up to 125A.

    • Some of its utilities:

    • Reduction of current harmonics generated by electronic equipment, reducing current consumption and improving the power factor.
    • Reduction of the crest factor of the current waveform, lengthening the life service of the equipment.
    • Attenuation of micro power cuts produced by the converter that cause the malfunction of computers, automatons and other susceptible equipment.

    The RTLX series reactors have a degree of protection IP00 and of the RTL series is IP20. These IP20 ones have all their active parts occluded in resin, making them more resistant to overcurrent and transient harmonics, as well as greater mechanical resistance to vibrations and unwanted movements. This is why they are especially suitable for working in damp, saline and corrosive environments.

    They have also copper connection ferrules welded and carried to a terminal block, to avoid the dangers caused by expansions, which lead to a bad connection.
